Bloomsburg Athletics

Mulhern was one of the early greats for the Bloomsburg State Teacher's College Track and Field team. During his four seasons on the team the Huskies were undefeated in 15 dual meets; placed third in the State Meet in1936, then went on to win the title the next three years. Mulhern was part of the school record mile relay teams in 1936 and 1938, was the record holder in the 440-yard run, a mark not broken till 1971. He was also part of a winning relay team at the Penn Relays in 1938 and 1939.
