Bloomsburg Athletics

Maturani was a four-year starter for the Huskies' football team, playing both on offense and defense. On defense, he was an outstanding linebacker, and on offense was a center in the single-wing formation. He was named to Tom Harmon's Little All-American team and later had a tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After serving time in the military, Maturani went on to become athletic director at Danville High School for over 20 years.
