Milner was a three-time singles and one-time doubles All-American for the Huskies in men's tennis. He won two PSAC singles titles and three PSAC doubles titles, including two at number one doubles. He ranked in the top 15 singles players in the country three years (11th, 11th and 13th). His career record of 119-44 puts him number two all-time in school history in career wins. In doubles he teamed with Roland Lamy to post a career record of 52-12 and finished the 1990 season ranked 6th in the country. In 1989 he defeated the #1 ranked player in the county while participating at the NCAA national tournament. During that same year Milner helped lead Bloomsburg's tennis team to its highest national ranking ever (5th place). He was co-captain and co-MVP of the Huskies in 1990 and went on to be named the Bloomsburg Senior Athlete of the Year in 1990. While attending graduate school he coached the Bloomsburg University women's tennis team to a record of 7-4.
