Blake was a standout on the gridiron for the Huskies and earned first team Associated Press All-American honors as a senior in 1982 and honorable mention honors as a junior. His best season was 1981, as a junior, when he caught 55 passes for 731 yards and two touchdowns. Three-times Blake was named PSAC first team all-conference.
