Ellzy was one of the most prolific men's basketball players in school history. A four-year member of the team, Ellzy finished his career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,911 points. He was named the PSAC East Player of the Year in 1995-96 and three times was named first team All-PSAC East. He still holds school records for most points in a season (600); three-pointers made in a career (225); and steals in a career (217). He helped the team to a record of 73-35, one PSAC East title and two NCAA playoff appearances. He was named the Danny Litwhiler Underclass Male Athlete of the Year in 1996 after averaging 20.3 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. As a senior he averaged 22.2 points per game and 5.2 rebounds. For his career he averaged 18.2 points per game.
