Junior Carter Chasanov helped the Huskies to three wins in four games against Mansfield over the weekend as he went 7-for-15 at the plate with five runs scored, two doubles, one home run, and two runs batted in. Chasanov also stole a pair of bases over the weekend. He scored at least one run and had at least one hit in all four games.
Chasanov went 3-for-8 with two runs scored and his fourth home run of the season in Saturday's doubleheader split and then went 4-for-7 with three runs scored, two doubles, and two stolen bases in Sunday's sweep. He scored the winning run after reaching on a leadoff single and a steal of second as the Huskies walked off in the bottom of the seventh in game one and was on base again when Kyle OFier hit a three-run walk-off home run in game two to complete the sweep.
The junior is hitting .400 on the season with four home runs and 14 RBI. He leads the team in runs scored (21), hits (28), and stolen bases (6) on the year.
