Mission: In response to student-athletes identifying issues of bullying, racism, LGBTQA, gender, and social issues, student-athletes have partnered with coaches and administrators to address these important topics facing everyone today. The "Protect Our Pack" concept is being developed and led by student-athletes to create a safe space where you can speak up and protect yourself and your team while getting the necessary support to excel.  We will be creating educational resources for the student-athletes, a resource page on BUHuskies.com, along with campaigns to feature, but not limited to posters, videos, speakers, etc.  Athletics, and most importantly, the student-athletes, and coaches are attacking the on-going social justice issues.

Dr. Molly Marnella, Bloomsburg University Faculty Athletic Representative, has been chosen to serve on the newly-formed PSAC Social Justice Task Force. The purpose of the Social Justice Task Force is to assist the PSAC and its member institutions in developing and recommending policy, programs, initiatives, and education for the awareness, improvement, and success of the conference's efforts in diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. The task force is comprised of a diverse blend of student-athletes, coaches, campus administrators, and athletic department staff members, with at least one representative from each of the league's 18 full member institutions. Initiatives and programming will take place this academic year and years to follow that support and foster Protect Our Pack's mission that include, coach guides, guest speakers, flyers, posters.
