Sophomore Andy Thomas led the men's swimming team to its first conference title in program history on Wednesday and Thursday as he competed in seven events at the PSAC Championships and won seven times. Thomas joined former Huskies' great, Sam Feiser, by going a perfect 7-for-7 at the championships. Thomas won four individual titles - the 50-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke, and the 100-yard backstroke - and was a part of three relay-winning foursomes - the 200-yard medley relay, the 800-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard freestyle relay. He broke two meet records and one conference record in the process.
Thomas shattered the meet and the school record in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:35.53 - nearly two seconds than the previous meet record set in 2014. He then crushed his own conference record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 43.35 - nearly a full second better than his previous PSAC record time of 44.20.
