Senior Morgan Ilgenfritz became an automatic qualifier for the 2018 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships  by finishing fourth overall at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships on Saturday in Pittsburgh. She posted a time of 24:11 in the 6K event and will be making her second trip to the national championships after participating in 2016 as a member of the Huskies' national qualifying team. Ilgenfritz earned All-Region honors from the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with her fourth-place finish, the second time she has earned that designation after finishing 16th as a junior in 2016. She was the highest finisher at the regional meet since 2015 when Kate Dodds finished second overall.
