Junior Becca Cubbler helped the women's swimming team to a seventh-place finish at the Zippy Invitational against primarily Division I competition. Cubbler finished the weekend by swimming in seven events and posting PSAC marks in all four of her individual events including two NCAA "B" times. She had five top ten finishes at the meet and scored points in all seven races. She had an NCAA "B" mark in the 500-yard freestyle (4:55.46) with her other NCAA "B" time coming in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.94) where she broke her own school record.
Following the weekend, Cubbler now has the fastest times in the PSAC in the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle, the 800-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard freestyle relay while holding the second-fastest mark in the conference in the 1650-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. She is third in the PSAC in the 400-yard medley relay. Cubbler is now fourth in Division II in the 500 free, ninth in Division II in the 800 free relay (7:38.95), and 10th in Division II in the 1650 free (17:08.71). She is also 11th in the country in both the 400 medley relay (3:51.04) and the 400 free relay (3:28.47) while ranking 14th in the country in the 200 free.
