Sophomore Emma Saxton led the Huskies to a perfect 2-0 week by averaging 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in the two victories. The sophomore guard shot 20-of-29 (69.0%) from the field and extended her double-digit scoring streak to nine consecutive games. On Wednesday night against Millersville, Saxton poured in a career-high 30 points (14-of-18 from the field) and added seven rebounds and four assists in the 74-65 victory over the Marauders. She became the first BU player to score 30 points in a game since Adreana Sadowski accomplished the feat on January 27, 2016. Then, on Monday afternoon, Saxton was again the team's top scorer with 15 points to go along with six boards and three assists in the 54-49 win over East Stroudsburg.
Saxton is averaging 16.6 points over her last nine games and is posting 12.9 points per game over the course of the season. She is second in the PSAC in field goal percentage on the year (58.5%).
