Sophomore Nicole Varano scored three goals - including both game-winning tallies - to lift the #5 Bloomsburg women's soccer team to a pair of 3-0 shutout victories to open the season. On Thursday, Varano recorded the first multiple-goal game of her collegiate career as she scored a pair of goals less than two minutes apart to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead. Then, on Saturday at Goldey-Beacom, Varano scored Bloomsburg's first goal of the game (61st minute) as the Huskies registered its second straight 3-0 win. As a freshman a season ago, Varano scored only two goals with one of those being a game-winner. She has already surpassed both those totals two games into her sophomore year.
