GREENSBURG-Maggey Bloskey (Danville, Danville) scored two goals and three assists to power the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to an 8-1 win over Seton Hill University on Saturday.
The Huskies scored 2:09 into the game when Amanda Riley (Tannersville, Pocono Mountain East) hit the back of the cage off an assist from Breanne Tobin (Perkasie, Pennridge). Bloomsburg made it 2-0 about two and a half minutes later when Bloskey scored unassisted. Tobin would later score back to back goals and Riley would get her second goal with 6:13 left in the half to give the Huskies a 5-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg, Bloomsburg) made it 6-0 with a goal off an assist from Erin Hench (Loysville, West Perry) with less than 24 minutes to play in the game. Bloskey scored her second goal of the game in the 57th minute, then assisted Lauren McGinley's (Wilkes-Barre, Coughlin)first goal of the season with 1:28 to play.
Along with Bloskey's big night, Riley and Tobin both scored two goals in the game as the Huskies improved to 5-1 on the season. Bloomsburg plays at Slippery Rock tomorrow at 1 p.m.
