Men's Cross Country Team Takes Seventh at Lafayette Invitational

RESULTS

EASTON—The Bloomsburg University men's cross country team finished seventh at the Lafayette College Leopard Invitational on Saturday.

Leading the Huskies was Bobby Furman (Broomall, Maple Newtown) who finished 19th on the 8,000 meter course in a time of 26:49. David Moyer (Boyertown, Boyertown)was 53rd for Bloomsburg in 27:45, while Nick Patton (Canton, Canton) was 68th in 28:17. Rounding out the Huskies top five were Jared Arnold (Philadelphia, Engineering & Science) in 72nd place in 28:32, while Mike Hookham (Middlesex, NJ, Middlesex) was 74th in 28:33.

“Performances today were affected by considerable wind," said head coach Bernie Empie. "Our men still looked a little flat, but I am confident that all the kinks will be worked out when championship season rolls around. I am excited to see how the squadlook next weekend at Lock Haven. Each race we look a little sharper.”

Bloomsburg takes part in the Lock Haven River Run next Saturday at 11 a.m.
