Amanda Riley (Tannersville, Pocono Mountain East)scored two goals to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 7-0 win over Seton Hill University on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies took an early 1-0 lead just 4:11 into the game when
Jenna DiSabatino (Mountain Top, Crestwood) scored unassisted. It stayed that way till early in the second half.
Riley scored the first of her two goals just 2:34 into half on an assist by
Jenna DiSabatino (Mountain Top/Crestwood) putting the Huskies on top 2-0. Bloomsburg made it 3-0 in the 46th minute when
Amanda Deloy (Milton, DE, Cape Henlopen)scored on a penalty stroke. Riley scored her second goal, unassisted, at the 53:20 mark for a 4-0 lead.
Cassie DiSabatino (Mountain Top, Crestwood) scored her first goal as member of the Huskies in the 58th minute for a 5-0 lead before
Brittany Mathews (Reedsville, Indian Valley) scored of
Alexis Weber (Bear, DE, William Penn) assist with just over four minutes left in the game with Weber scoring herself with under two minutes to play with
Lindsay Danz (Rehoboth Beach, DE, Sussex Technical) getting the assist.
Bloomsburg dominated play getting 29 shots on goal to just five for Seton Hill and also held a 15-5 edge in penalty corners over the home team.
The Huskies improve to 10-2 on the season, while Seton Hill falls to 10-6. Bloomsburg will host Millersville on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the annual Huskies for Hope game to raise awareness of breast cancer.
