BLOOMSBURG—Kayla Oxenrider (Ashland/Tri-Valley) scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Bloomsburg University women's basketball team to a 99-61 win over East Stroudsburg on Thursday. The game was delayed one day due to Wednesday's bad weather.

The win also keeps the Huskies in tie for first place with Millersville in PSAC East play with 6-1 records. The two teams will meet on Saturday at Millersville for the division lead with the start time set for 1 p.m.

The Huskies, now 14-5 overall, raced out to a 9-0 lead just 1:12 into the game on four points from Danielle Derr (Dresner/Upper Dublin) and five points from Oxenrider, including a three-pointer. After East Stroudsburg got on the board on a free throw, Derr hit two free throws followed by a jumper from Alyssa Flanagan (Freeland/Hazleton Area) putting Bloomsburg up 13-1 with 17:42 left in the half.

Later a layup from Oxenrider made 28-6 with 12:56 to go in the half as the Huskies slowly increased its lead to 53-19 with 45 seconds to go before the half on a free throw from Brianna Dudeck (Sugarloaf/Hazleton). The 53 points were the second most scored in the first half of a game by Bloomsburg this season.

In the second half the Huskies lead twice briefly got below 30 points with the biggest margin of 38 points coming at 67-29 on a basket by Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) and at the end of the game when Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) hit a layup with under 10 seconds to play.
