BLOOMSBURG – Heading into the final week of the regular season, the Bloomsburg University field hockey team remains fourth in the 2012 Penn Monto / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Coaches Poll released Tuesday afternoon.
The Huskies (12-4 overall, 6-2 PSAC East) split their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division games last week. It dropped a rare 1-0 overtime decision to Millersville on Oct. 9, but rebounded with a 1-0 overtime victory at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
Each of Bloomsburg's last three games has gone to overtime including a pivotal 3-2 victory over West Chester. It has two more games remaining in its regular season as a pair of wins would secure Bloomsburg's 32nd consecutive trip to the PSAC playoffs.
Bloomsburg hosts Kutztown on Wednesday, Oct. 17 to mark its final regular season home game, and senior day for six Huskies.

Amber Aulenbach (Fleetwood/Oley Valley),
Cassie DiSabatino (Mountain Top/Crestwood),
Jenna DiSabatino (Mountain Top/Crestwood),
Brooke Simonovich (East Stroudsburg/Stroudsburg), and
Alexis Weber (Bear, DE/William Penn) will all be honored pre-game for their accomplishments in the maroon and gold.
BU will wrap up its week on Friday, Oct. 19 with a road matchup at ninth-ranked LIU Post.
The top seven teams remain the same in this week's national poll. Shippensburg (15-1) remains No. 1 with 14 first-place votes, as No. 2 West Chester (13-2) received the final first-place vote. Rounding out the top five are Indiana (PA) (12-3), Bloomsburg, and University of Massachusetts Lowell (13-2).
The Huskies are currently fourth in the NCAA South Region rankings. The top three schools from each region advance to the Division II championships.
