MILLERSVILLE – A multitude of players on the Bloomsburg University football team had career-defining moments Saturday.  In doing so, the Huskies rolled to a 38-14 victory over Millersville University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
 
The Huskies (6-0 overall, 3-0 PSAC East) remain undefeated with the win in one of its best defensive performances of the season. The 14 points scored by the Marauders (1-5, 0-3) tied for a season-low for the Huskies.  It was also the 13th consecutive Bloomsburg win over Millersville.
 
Larry Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton), the PSAC's leader in sacks, caught his first touchdown pass of the season on Saturday.  He caught a three-yard pass in the corner of the end zone for Bloomsburg's third touchdown of the day.  Webster also registered a half sack to increase his season total to eight.
 
Bloomsburg had one of its exciting defensive moments of the season against the Marauders.  With MU attempting to get on the board with a field goal deep in BU territory, sophomore Cole Parkinson (Boyertown/St. Pius X) roared around the edge and blocked the MU attempt.  Senior Terrell Oglesby (Philadelphia/Northeast Catholic) picked up the loose ball and returned it 92 yards for a touchdown to give the Huskies a 35-0 lead entering halftime.
 
Junior kicker Dan Fisher moved into fourth place on the PSAC career field goal list.  Fisher booted a 32-yarder on the opening drive of the second half, his eighth of the season and 45th of his career.  He is now two behind Indiana (PA)'s Craig Burgess's mark of 47 set in 2010 for third place.
 
Both teams put up good offensive numbers, however, they moved up and down the field in two different ways.  Bloomsburg gained 340 of its 445 total yards on the ground, as Millersville threw for 313 of its 400 total yards.
 
Saturday continued Bloomsburg's dominance in the rushing attack.  It has rushed for 300 or more yards in five of its six games this season, tying for the most in a season under head coach Danny Hale.
 
Junior running backs Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) and Eddie Mateo (Bethlehem/Freedom) each ran for 100 yards for the fifth time this season.  Quiteh, the third-leading rusher in Division II, led the way with 143 on the ground and two touchdowns.  It is his second straight two-touchdown outing.  Mateo, the ninth-leading rusher in Division II, rushed for 110 yards on 15 carries.  
 
Dai'Shon Munger (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross) had some quality runs in the final quarter for the Huskies.  He gained a career-high 71 yards on the ground to keep the chains moving for Bloomsburg.
 
Bloomsburg quarterback Tim Kelly (Camp Hill/Cedar Cliff) threw for 96 yards on 10-of-19 passing through the first three quarters of the game.  It is the fourth game this season the freshman has not thrown an interception in a game.
 
Glenn Hutton Jr. (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) and Ryan Dickerson (Harleysville/Souderton) were Kelly's main targets.  Hutton had a team-high five catches for 47 yards, both of which were career-highs.  Dickerson had two catches, one of which was for a touchdown, for 28 yards.
 
Jarrett Pidgeon (Barnegat, NJ/Southern Regional) led Bloomsburg defensively with eight tackles, a half sack, and a fumble recovery.  Ryan Feldman (Mechanicsburg/JP McCaskey) started his first game of the season and recorded seven tackles on the afternoon.
 
The Bloomsburg defense forced three Millersville three-and-outs, including the opening drive of the game.  Quiteh and the Huskies responded with a seven-play, 60-yard drive capped off with an eight-yard Quiteh TD run.  Quiteh ran for 51 yards on the opening drive including runs of eight, nine, 15 and 16-yards.
 
A 32-yard pass to Trenton Petrovich moved Millersville into BU territory for the first time of the day on the following drive.  It was MU's first catch by a tight end this season.  However, BU's Chris Kennedy (Phoenixville/Archbishop Carroll) forced a fumble to end the potential threat which was jumped on by Pidgeon.  BU made the most of the opportunity, driving the field off the arm of Kelly and legs of Mateo.  Bloomsburg moved in front 14-0 on a 15-yard Kelly-to-Dickerson touchdown.
 
Millersville freshman quarterback Connor Casey looked sharp in his first collegiate game.  He drove the Maruaders 82 yards on their opening second-half possession and tossed a four-yard touchdown pass to put MU on the board late in the third quarter.  Casey finished the day 30-for-43 for 313 yards through the air and two touchdowns.
 
The Huskies return home next week to face East Stroudsburg University for their annual homecoming game at Redman Stadium.  Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.  Millersville moves on to play Cheyney next week at home.
