QUICK SIX
-The Huskies are making just their second-ever trip to Gannon's University Field – the Huskies won 38-10 at Gannon in 2008.
-Saturday's game boasts two high-scoring offenses – Bloomsburg ranks second in the PSAC at 43.5 points per game while Gannon is fifth, averaging 40.0 points per contest.
-Bloomsburg has scored 20 or more points in 17 consecutive games, tied for the longest such streak in school history (2000-01).
-At 372.0 yards rushing per game, the Huskies are averaging over 100 yards more on the ground than any other PSAC team with West Chester ranking second at 255.3.
-The Huskies have been nearly as good at stopping the run as they've been on the ground themselves – BU's run defense ranks first in the PSAC and fifth in Division II by allowing 65.8 yards per game.
-Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) leads Division II with 197.0 rushing yards per game.

THE MATCHUP
This week's contest at PSAC Western Division foe Gannon has become a highly anticipated matchup given the hot starts to the season by both teams. The Golden Knights come into their Homecoming weekend on a roll, standing at 3-1 for the first time since 2003 when they were an NCAA Division II independent. After wins over Slippery Rock and Clarion in back-to-back weeks, Gannon has put itself into a tie for first in the PSAC West with IUP. The Golden Knights offense has been clicking, scoring at least 36 points in all four games – the best offensive streak in school history. Gannon's only setback of the season came at home – dropping a wild, 56-41 crossover decision with West Chester on Sept. 14.

Bloomsburg comes into the Week 5 game flying high at 4-0, tied atop the PSAC East with West Chester and Shippensburg through two divisional games. While the offense has been generating headlines, scoring 30 or more points in each game including 56 in a win over Lock Haven last week, the Huskies are surrendering just 17.5 points per game as a defense – the fourth-lowest total in the PSAC behind IUP, California and East Stroudsburg. The Huskies will look to exploit a Gannon defense allowing 34.8 points per game while Gannon will likely look to air it out – the Golden Knights rank third in the PSAC in passing at 295.8 yards per game while Bloomsburg has allowed 278.0 yards on average through the air. Two of the top three rushers in Division II will square off – Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) ranks first with 788 yards while Gannon's Jansen Jones is third in the nation at 657 yards.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING
Bloomsburg rushed for 483 yards in a 43-24 victory over Gannon at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium last September in a game far closer than its final score would indicate. Gannon led 24-21 early in the third quarter, but Bloomsburg tallied 22 consecutive points to put down the Golden Knights' upset effort. Tim Kelly (Camp Hill/Cedar Cliff) threw for three touchdowns, all in the first half, while Larry Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) registered 2.5 sacks on the defensive end. Gannon tallied just 58 yards on the ground, but then-freshman quarterback Liam Nadler threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns with his favorite receiver being Justin Caliste who had 10 catches for 74 yards.

MAKING HISTORY
Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) is re-writing the PSAC record books this season by setting the conference's all-time record for most career rushing yards. Quiteh broke the record with an eight-yard carry in the fourth quarter at Edinboro in Week 2 as part of a 231-yard performance. He now sets his sights on the all-time Division II record books, moving to 13th place all-time in D-II history with 205 yards vs. Lock Haven. Quiteh is currently the leading active rusher in all NCAA divisions (FBS, FCS, II, III) - by a wide margin. His career total is over 1,000 yards more than his closest follower, Melikke Van Alstyne of NCAA Division III's Framingham State (5,099).  Quiteh also is the active NCAA leader in rushing yards per game (156.8), all-purpose yards (6,428) and rushing touchdowns (69). Quiteh has rushed for over 100 yards in a school-record 21 straight games and 36 of 39 career games.

With his 21-yard field goal at Kutztown on Sept. 21, Danny Fisher (Liverpool/Central Dauphin) broke the all-time conference record for career 3-pointers, connecting on his 51st with the Huskies. The previous mark had been held by Ed Detwiler of ESU for over two decades. Fisher captured the career kicking points record the previous week at Edinboro and now has 306 for his career. He currently leads all Division II active players in field goals and is sixth among active players in all divisions. Among active leaders in total points in Division II, Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) leads all players with 432 and Fisher ranks third at 306.

GO WEST, YOUNG MAN
Bloomsburg heads west for a PSAC crossover contest against Gannon this Saturday. The Huskies have enjoyed a run of success vs. PSAC West foes, winning seven straight crossover contests against Western Division teams including victories over Edinboro, Gannon and Slippery Rock last season. Bloomsburg's last loss to a PSAC West squad came in the 2010 NCAA Division II Playoffs at Mercyhurst.

Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) has been a model of consistency during his time in maroon and gold. The senior running back has set the school and conference records for career rushing yardage due to his consistency – his 205-yard performance on the ground vs. Lock Haven last week marked the 36th time Quiteh has surpassed 100 yards rushing. For his career entering the Gannon game, Quiteh has rushed for 100 or more yards in 36 of his 39 games with the Huskies, including 21 straight contests.

QUITEH 6K
With 205 yards rushing against Lock Haven, Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) became the first player in PSAC history to rush for 6,000 yards in a career. He finished the day with 6,116 yards and is now one of 13 players in Division II history to reach the milestone.

STARTING OFF RIGHT
With the Huskies win over Lock Haven in Week 4, interim head coach Paul Darragh became the first coach in Bloomsburg history to begin his tenure at the helm of the program with a 4-0 record. Jack Yohe (1952), Thornley Booth (1926) and George Harry (1909) previously started 3-0 but all lost their fourth games.

LIGHTING UP THE SCOREBOARD
Last week's offensive output by the Husky offense was one to remember, posting 56 points against Lock Haven. It marked the first time Bloomsburg's offense hit the 50-point total since scoring 55 in a win at West Chester on Oct. 22, 2011 when it rallied from 35 points down to tally the biggest rally in Division II history. The last time Bloomsburg scored more than 56 points was in a 61-35 win vs. Kutztown on Nov. 6, 2010.

WORKING QUICK
Though Bloomsburg is known for its bruising running attack, the Huskies have been able to score quickly as often as any team in the PSAC this season. So far on the year, Bloomsburg has tallied 28 scoring drives – of those scoring drives, 17 have taken just 2:59 or less including 10 scoring drives of 1:59 or quicker.

LARRY THE SACK KING
Senior defensive end Larry Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) picked up his sixth sack of the year last week vs. Lock Haven, enough to keep him in the PSAC sack lead. He holds a one sack lead over Cal's B.J. Stevens and Shippensburg's Jake Metz who each have five. He currently ranks in a tie for third among all Division II players. In 16 career games, Webster has tallied 19.5 sacks.

FISHER ON MITCHELL AWARD HONOREE LIST
Danny Fisher (Liverpool/Central Dauphin) was named to the Fred Mitchell Award honoree list for the month of September for his work on the field and in the community. Fisher kicked five of six field goal attempts and finished the month with 37 total points. Away from the field, he raised over $3,500 for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation through his 'Kick for a Cure' initiative. For each field goal and extra point he kicks this season, he will donate money to the ASF toward raising awareness and work on a cure for Angelman Syndrome. PUTTING IN EARLY WORK
Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) put up 159 yards during the first half of last week's win over Lock Haven on the way to 205 yards on the day in just 11 carries. The performance put Quiteh over 100 yards rushing before halftime for the 15th time in his career – it was the second-most first half yards in Quiteh's BU career, following only his 186-yard first half showing in a win at Millersville on Sept. 25, 2010. The all-time PSAC leading rusher also now has nine 200-yard games in his career with a career-high of 282 coming vs. East Stroudsburg on Oct. 13, 2012.

TAKING IT TO THE HOUSE
Junior safety Tomas Cabrera (Hanover/Hanover Area) capped off the scoring in the Huskies' 56-10 win over Lock Haven by taking an interception 82 yards for the pick six. The interception, Cabrera's third in his first year with BU, was the first Huskies interception return for a touchdown since Jarrett Pidgeon (Barnegat, NJ/Southern Regional) took an INT 39 yards for a score.

HUTTON'S TRIPLE PLAY
Glenn Hutton Jr. (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) made his three receptions vs. Lock Haven count, taking all of them in for touchdowns. He caught three balls on the day for 67 yards and touchdown grabs of 33, 25 and nine yards respectively. The showing not only was a career-best for the senior receiver, but also the first time a Huskies player has hauled in three touchdowns in a game since Kyle Fisher (Denver/Cocalico) accomplished the feat vs. LIU Post on Sept. 22, 2012.

CONTINUING THE TRADITION
While there is new leadership for the Huskies on the sidelines this season under interim head coach Paul Darragh, much has remained the same with the BU attack. Under former head coach Danny Hale, the Huskies made their name with a power running game. During Hale's tenure, 23 separate players put up at least one game of 100 or more yards rushing. Following Joe Parsnik (Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin)'s 101-yard performance vs. Lock Haven, Darragh already has three 100 yard rushers with Parsnik, Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) and Dai'Shon Munger (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross).

PARSNIK HAS CAREER DAY
Redshirt freshman Joe Parsnik (Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin) rushed for a career-high 101 yards on 14 carries vs. Lock Haven in Week 4. Parsnik has given the Huskies a third option out of the backfield this season, averaging 6.1 yards per carry with 200 yards through four games.

TURNING RED INTO POINTS
When in the red zone this season, the Huskies have not squandered scoring opportunities. Through the first four games of the year, Bloomsburg has scored in 16 of its 17 trips to the red zone, good for a 94.1 percent success rate. The Huskies have punched into the end zone 12 out of their 17 red zone trips.
