QUICK SIX

-The Huskies have started the season 6-0 for the third straight year – BU began the past two seasons at 8-0.
-Bloomsburg has won seven straight games over East Stroudsburg since the Warriors' last win in the series at Redman Stadium on Nov. 19, 2005, in the NCAA Playoffs.
-The Huskies have won nine straight games at Eiler-Martin Stadium - ESU's last home win in the series came on Oct. 30, 1993.
-At 43.0 points per game, the Huskies rank second in the PSAC in scoring. Bloomsburg has registered 20 or more points in 18 straight games dating back to the first game of the 2012 season.
-Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) continues to pace the PSAC in rushing with 1,102 yards and is the only player in the conference to reach 1,000 yards rushing through six games.
-Bloomsburg ranks first in the PSAC in rushing at 341.2 yards per game – exactly 100 yards more than second-place West Chester (241.2). The Huskies are also first in rushing defense, allowing 67.7 yards per game on the ground to opponents.

THE MATCHUP
East Stroudsburg's two losses have come on the road at Shippensburg, 41-31, and last week at nationally-ranked West Chester, 30-24. The Warriors led both games – including a 10-point lead at halftime last week. Saturday's game could be a high-scoring contest – Bloomsburg ranks second in the PSAC in scoring offense at 43.0 points per game while ESU stands fourth at 38.3. On the other hand, both teams also rank within the top five among PSAC defenses – Bloomsburg is second, allowing just 15.2 points per game and ESU is fourth at 21.7 points allowed per contest. The two teams move the ball in different ways, however. Bloomsburg rushes for over 341 yards per game while ESU is effective through the air, passing for 297.3 yards per game.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING
The Huskies moved to 7-0 last year with a 48-27 victory at Redman Stadium on Oct. 13, 2012. Bloomsburg totaled 603 yards on the day compared to 299 from East Stroudsburg, with the Huskies mounting 336 yards rushing. Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) put together a career-best day on the ground, racking up 282 yards rushing on 43 carries along with three touchdowns, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. The Husky defense held ESU quarterback Matt Soltes to 167 yards passing as the Huskies never trailed in the game. ESU closed to within 21-17 late in the third quarter following a touchdown pass from Soltes to Robert Bleiler, but BU responded just 40 seconds later on a 68-yard touchdown strike from Tim Kelly (Camp Hill/Cedar Cliff) to Glenn Hutton Jr. (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) to post a 28-17 advantage with 2:33 left in the third quarter and never relinquished control, putting the game away in the fourth quarter behind a 40-yard touchdown sprint by Quiteh and a 72-yard scoring pass from Kelly to Ryan Dickerson (Harleysville/Souderton). Kelly also had a career day - he threw for 267 yards and four touchdowns on 12-of-16 passing.

ELLIOTT MAKES NAME FOR HIMSELF
One of only two true freshmen on the Huskies' active roster, Lawrence Elliott Jr. (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) made a huge impact in Bloomsburg's 45-7 Week 6 win over Millersville. The Utica, N.Y. native tallied 163 return yards on the day, including a 73-yard punt return for a touchdown in the third quarter. The touchdown was the first Huskies punt return for a score since DJ Robinson (Sinking Spring/Conrad Weiser) brought a punt 70 yards for a touchdown vs. Millersville on Sept. 24, 2011. The 73 yards made Elliott's punt return the longest for the Huskies since Robinson's 78-yard return vs. LIU Post on Oct. 29, 2011. Elliott also ran back the opening kickoff 69 yards, setting the Huskies up in great field position on their first drive of the game.

RUSHING STREAKS BROKEN
With a 31-0 lead at halftime and second half scores on defense and special teams, the Huskies could play conservatively for much of the day in the Week 6 win over Millersville. As a result, Bloomsburg had two impressive rushing streaks broken on the day – first, Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) finished with 63 yards on only eight carries, snapping a personal 22-game streak of registering 100 or more yards on the ground. The last time Quiteh did not rush for 100 or more yards came over two years prior – a 61-yard outing on Oct. 8, 2011 vs. Cheyney. Bloomsburg also finished without a 100-yard rusher for the first time since a victory at IUP on Sept. 24, 2011 – a span of 26 games.

BU 'D' REMAINS STINGY
Bloomsburg allowed a season-low seven points in a 45-7 win over Millersville in Week 6, another strong showing for a defensive unit that has been solid all season. The Huskies are surrendering just 15.2 points per game through six weeks – the second-lowest total in the PSAC behind only IUP (12.0).

LIGHTING UP THE SCOREBOARD
The Huskies are 105-3 when scoring 40 points all-time following their 45-7 win vs. Millersville in Week 6. Bloomsburg has tallied 40 or more points in four of its first six games this season - the all-time school record is seven games of 40+ points set three times (2005, 2007, 2012).

RUN THE BALL, STOP THE RUN
The Huskies have become one of the most successful programs in the PSAC thanks in large part to a physical style and ability to control at the point of attack. This has been evident so far through six games this year as the Huskies have been one of the best teams in the nation at running the ball as well as stopping the run. Bloomsburg ranks fifth in the country in rushing offense at 341.2 yards per game on the ground. On the other side of the ball, BU has stifled the running game of opponents, allowing only 67.7 yards per contest, a mark which ranks third  in the country behind only Shepherd (27.2 ypg) and Lenoir-Rhyne (64.2 ypg).

WORKING QUICK
Though Bloomsburg is known for its bruising running attack, the Huskies have been able to score quickly as often as any team in the PSAC this season. So far on the year, Bloomsburg has tallied 38 scoring drives – of those scoring drives, 24 have taken just 2:59 or less including 15 scoring drives of under two minutes.
