STORYLINE
After a tough loss 1-0 to No. 1 Shippensburg in double overtime last Saturday, the Bloomsburg Huskies prepare to play the Mansfield Mountaineers.  The Huskies defeated the Mountaineers on Sept. 21, 4-1, on their home turf. That game, however, did not count toward the conference standings.

LAST TIME OUT
This past Saturday the Huskies suffered a tough loss to the top-ranked team in Division II, Shippensburg. The game remained scoreless through regulation and the first overtime period before the Raiders eventually broke through.  The game-winning goal, as well as the only goal of the game was scored in the 91st minute to gain Shippensburg the victory. Megan Eppley (Camp Hill/Camp Hill) had a total of 10 saves in the cage for the Huskies.

SCOUTING MANSFIELD
The Mountaineers are currently ranked ninth in the conference with a 3-5 record and a 0-2 mark in PSAC. Mansfield's leading scorer Taryn Schawillie leads the Mountaineers with nine of the 17 goals scored so far this season. Mansfield's Jessi Swingle leads both the conference and nationally for defensive saves. Mansfield is ranked No. 16 nationally and sixth in the conference for save percentage with a percentage of 0.852.  Also, Mansfield is ranked 26th nationally and ninth in the conference for saves per game with 19.38 saves per game.

EPPLEY RANKED
Huskies starting goalie Megan Eppley (Camp Hill/Camp Hill) is currently ranked sixth in PSAC for saves per game at 4.13 with a total of 33 saves for the season this far. Her 33 saves for this season brings her total career saves total up to 135.

DOMENICI POINT LEADER
The Huskies lead scorer Felicia Domenici (Kunkletown/Pleasant Valley) is not only ranked as the lead scorer on her team, but she is also ranked in PSAC as the No. 2 goals scored per game leader of the conference.  Domenici is two goals behind first place Ally Roth from ESU who currently has scored 11 goals in the nine games she has played.  Domenici has scored nine goals in the eight games Bloomsburg has played so far this season.

THIS TIME IT COUNTS
Under the new one division set up the PSAC adopted for field hockey this year, none of the Huskies' contests before Sept. 28, even those against other PSAC teams, counted in the conference standings, meaning the first game against Mansfield did not count towards PSAC standings. This Saturday's game will count toward PSAC standings.
