STORYLINE
After road victory against Mansfield on Saturday, 2-1, the No. 6 Bloomsburg Huskies prepare to play the No. 7 East Stroudsburg Warriors in a matchup of nationally-ranked teams. The Huskies will seek redemption after falling 4-2 to East Stroudsburg in their first meeting this year back on Sept. 11 at ESU. That game, however, did not count toward the conference standings.

LAST TIME OUT
(Box Score) This past Saturday the Huskies beat the Mansfield Mountaineers in a 2-1 decision. In the first half, Bloomsburg jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 23rd minute when Nikki Gatone passed the ball to teammate Felicia Domenici (Kunkletown/Pleasant Valley). Shortly into the second half the Huskies scored an additional goal off a penalty corner. Angie DeBellis (Zionsville/Emmaus) registered her first goal of the season off a pass from Candice Smith (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove). The Mountaineers recorded the final goal of the game putting the final score at 2-1. Megan Eppley (Camp Hill/Camp Hill) made four saves in the cage.

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG
Sophomore Ally Roth leads the team with 26 points on the season (11 goals, 4 assists) followed by juniors Gabrielle Seibert (6g, 5a) and Jessica Lawville (4g, 3a) rank second and third. Goalies Alexis Charles and Madelyn Craver have nearly split time in goal evenly, both have started in four contests. Charles recorded 30 saves with a .750 save percentage while Craver has made 21 saves with a .636 save percentage. The Warriors are coming off a 4-2 loss against No. 3 West Chester.

LAST MEETING
(Box Score) The two teams played a scoreless first half last month in the first meeting of the year before exchanging goals over a two-minute period early in the second half. Ally Roth scored first in the 39th minute, but two minutes later Brittany Mathews (Reedsville/Indian Valley) scored to tie. ESU tallied the next two goals to take control. Candice Smith (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) scored at 62:04, but the Warriors iced the game on a fourth scoring play at 65:15. Madelyn Craver made seven saves to earn the win for ESU while Megan Eppley (Camp Hill/Camp Hill) had three stops for the Huskies.

HUSKIES NOW SIXTH
In the latest NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll on Oct. 8, Bloomsburg moved up a spot to No. 6. The Huskies switched places with ESU, which fell to seventh in the rankings. The two teams are also back-to-back in PSAC standings, Bloomsburg with a 1-1 conference record while ESU stands at 2-1.
