LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A game-high 21 points from senior Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) along with a career-high 14 points from junior Maggie Borski (Philadelphia/Nazareth Academy) helped lead the Bloomsburg women's basketball team to a 66-62 victory at Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon.

With the win Bloomsburg moves to 3-1 overall while evening its PSAC East record at 1-1. Lock Haven falls to 1-4, 0-2.

Borski helped clinch the win in the waning seconds, playing a key role in perhaps the game's biggest play. With Lock Haven trailing by three (65-62) and in possession of the ball with less than 30 seconds to play looking to tie the game, Borski came away with a steal to give the Huskies possession. Following an immediate Lock Haven foul, Borski made one of two shots at the line to give the visitors a two possession lead they would not relinquish over the final 17 seconds.

The Lady Eagles controlled much of the first half, opening up a 28-20 advantage late in the opening period. The Huskies turned the tide before intermission, however, embarking on an 11-1 sprint over the final 2:52, capped by a 3-pointer from Lauren Nealon (Ambler/Archbishop Wood) just before the buzzer to allow Bloomsburg a 31-29 lead at the break.

Lock Haven scored the first points of the second half on a jumper from J.J. Hillard and the game remained at a one possession spread for the next four minutes.

Bloomsburg finally gained some breathing room on a 12-2 run to stretch its lead to double digits for the first time at 51-41 following a 3-pointer from Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) with 12:14 to play.

The Lady Eagles had a run of their own left to make things tight once more. Emily Daugherty drained a 3-pointer followed by a three-point play from Marrysa Moyer as part of an 8-0 break to cut the Huskies' lead to two (56-54).

The score remained separated by no more than five points for the final four minutes. The Huskies never lost the lead, however, grabbing control following an LHU turnover and Noack layup for a five-point lead (65-60) with 1:18 left before Sami Lane's jumper closed the score to a three-point margin, setting the stage for Borski's steal.

Daugherty had 17 points while Moyer finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds for Lock Haven.

Bloomsburg returns to action next Sunday, Dec. 1 at home in non-conference play vs. Goldey-Beacom. That contest gets underway at Nelson Field House beginning at 1 p.m.
