BLOOMSBURG—
Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Bloomsburg University women's basketball team to a 78-35 win over Cheyney University Wednesday night in PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Eastern Division action.

Noack was red-hot throughout the game going 8-8 from the floor, including 6-6 from behind the arc. After scoring 10 points in the opening half, the senior guard hit four straight three-pointers in a two and half minute stretch to start the second half for Bloomsburg.

The Huskies controlled the game from the opening tip going up 10-0 in the first three minutes and pushed to lead 21 points, 26-5, in the first eight minutes of action. Noack,
Brianna Dudeck (Sugarloaf/Hazleton) and
Maggie Borski (Philadelphia/Nazareth Academy) each scored five points in the early going to help Bloomsburg to the big lead.

The Huskies continued to add to their lead in the opening half and led 49-11 at the break. In the second half Bloomsburg took its biggest lead of the game at 56 points, 73-17, with 5:17 to play. Cheyney, though, closed out the game on an 18-5 run for a 78-35 final.

Along with Noack's 22 points, Dudeck scored 11 points for coach
Bill Cleary's team, while
Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) added nine points and 12 rebounds.

Cheyney, 0-6, 0-3 in the PSAC East, got 15 points from Kyra Hines-Allen.

Bloomsburg, now 5-1, 2-1 in the PSAC East, plays at Shippensburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.
