BLOOMSBURG—For the second consecutive season Bloomsburg University will reward fans for attendance at Huskies sports events through the "Roongo's Rewards" program presented by the PFCU (Philadelphia Federal Credit Union).
The Huskies have partnered with LOYALITIVA and Rojo Research to leverage smart phone technology and QR codes to incentivize fan activities - such as attendance, sponsor patronage, and more.
The program is free for all fans and only requires a smart phone to participate. Fans can download the app from the ITunes Store or the Google Play Store. Then each time you attend a BU home sporting event scan the QR code (with the built-in QR code reader in the app) and watch your points build up. It's fun and easy and you can later trade those points for some great prizes from participating BU corporate partners. Among some of the prizes available are coupons to Burger King, Perkins, The Links at Hemlock Creek and ski passes to Jack Frost/Big Boulder area.
Bloomsburg is the first member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to utilize the LOYALTIVA platform. A few other collegiate LOYALTIVA partners include Holy Cross, Southeastern Louisiana, Ohio Northern, Valdosta State, Georgia College, Texas A&M-Commerce, Saint Leo, Georgia Southwestern, UT-Dallas, and Concordia (CAN).
Launched in September 2006, Rojo Research has quickly risen to one of the largest providers of fan loyalty and audience research for NCAA member institutions and professional sports organizations, with over 100 partners throughout the U.S and Canada.
