Joe Parsnik (Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin) scored three touchdowns and
Lawrence Elliott Jr. (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) ran for 146 yards and one score to lead Bloomsburg University to a 41-20 win over Millersville University Saturday afternoon in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Eastern Division matchup. The win was the 16
th straight for the Huskies over the Marauders.

Bloomsburg (4-2, 3-0 PSAC East) wasted little time establishing control in the game scoring on its first drive with
Lawrence Elliott Jr. (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) going in from one yard out to cap a nine-play, 61-yard drive.

On the Huskies third possession of the game Elliott ripped off a career-long 69-yard run to set Bloomsburg up with a first and goal at the Marauders four-yard line. On the first play of the second period Parsnik scored his first touchdown to make it a 14-0 game.

After a Millersville (0-6, 0-3 PSAC) punt, the Huskies moved the ball to the Marauders seven-yard line where the drive stalled.
Tyler Smith (Gettysburg/Gettysburg) then connected on a 25-yard field goal to make it 17-0.

Millersville responded on its next drive getting a three-yard pass from J.J. Paigie to Tyler Zilen making it 17-7. The touchdown was the first scored on the Bloomsburg defense in 12 quarters.

The Huskies answered the Millersville score right before halftime. After a 45-yard kickoff return by
Lamont Veal (Upper Darby/Cardinal O'Hara) and a personal foul penalty gave Bloomsburg great field position the Millersville 37-yard line, the Huskies needed just seven plays to get a second, four-yard run by Parsnik to make it 24-7 at the break.

In the second half the Huskies got a career-long 47-yard field goal from
Tyler Smith (Gettysburg/Gettysburg) along with a one-yard run by Kelly and the third, four-yard scoring run by Parsnik to put the game away.

Elliott Jr. finished with 17 carries for 146 yards and one score, while Parsnik gained 55 yards on 14 attempts to go with his three touchdowns. Kelly finished 17-24 Â passing for a season-high 188 yards.

Defensively the Huskies Mark Collins had six tackles, while
Garrett Pope (Northumberland/Shikellamy) and
Frank Aigeldinger (Mountain Top/Crestwood) each had four. As a team the Huskies had five sacks giving them 11 in the last two games.

Bloomsburg will host Kutztown in the annual Homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m.
