WEST CHESTER, Pa. – A ferocious late rally by the Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team ran out of steam in the final minutes as the Huskies fell in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference quarterfinals at No. 13 West Chester on Tuesday afternoon, 14-10.

Tuesday's game saw the Huskies roar back from an 8-2 second half hole including a 9-4 deficit with just 13:02 to play before coming all the way back to tie on a goal from
Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) which gave the senior attack the school's all-time career points record and a 10-10 deadlock with 4:22 remaining.

The game remained tied until the last 89 seconds when West Chester received a goal from Caroline Kuchinsky to break the tie and give the Golden Rams the first of four goals in the final 1:29 to pull away in the waning moments.

Sixth-seeded Bloomsburg finishes its season at 8-8 overall while the third-seeded Golden Rams (13-4) move on to play in the conference semifinals Friday vs. Mercyhurst.

Bloomsburg scored the first goal of the game when Falk took a pass from
Marisa Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) and beat the WCU keeper for a 1-0 lead just over three and a half minutes in.

The next 30 minutes of play primarily belonged to the Golden Rams, however, as West Chester took a 7-1 lead into halftime despite Bloomsburg owning a 15-9 edge in shot attempts.

A goal from
Nikki Fisher (Warminster/Gwynedd Mercy Academy ) off a free position attempt with 22:39 left in the second half finally got the Huskies back on the board, but a goal from West Chester made the score 8-2 with 21:39 to go.

Patrice Coleman (Media/Penncrest ) started the Bloomsburg rally by scoring off an assist from
Morgan Sherriff (Downingtown/Coatesville) at the 14:57 mark as the Huskies would run off eight goals in the next 10 minutes and change to come all the way back. Falk's goal off an assist from
Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) gave Bloomsburg the tie before West Chester's late surge.

The Huskies finished with a 27-25 edge in shots and a 14-12 lead in draw controls. Falk paced the offense with three goals with Moley and Coleman each scoring twice. Kyne scored, had an assist and won four draw controls while Coleman recorded five draw controls to lead the team.

Abbey Burnett (Frederick, MD/Walkersville) made nine saves in net for the Huskies while Merrilee Viguers also made nine saves for West Chester. Ashley Pyle keyed the Golden Rams with four goals on the afternoon.

Tuesday's game marks the final contest in Maroon and Gold for the Huskies' seven seniors – Coleman, Falk, Moley, Sherriff,
Carly Ball (Lansdale/North Penn),
Allison Campbell (Pottstown/Owen J. Roberts) and
Shannon Neligan (West Hempstead, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial).
Falk completes her career as the Huskies' all-time leader in both goals (203) and points (295) with her final goal on Tuesday pushing her past the 294 career points posted by Georgia Carinci from 2001-04. Falk also finishes second in school history with 92 assists.

Moley tallied two assists on the afternoon and finishes her career tied fourth in school history, matching the 73 assists handed out by Kim Springman from 2007-10.
