Gordon Wins Pair in Coaching Debut

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University wrestling team made it a successful coaching debut for new head coach Marcus Gordon as the Huskies swept a pair of matches on Sunday beating Davidson (N.C.) 35-0 and Keystone College, 44-4.
 
The two wins already surpass the Huskies total of one victory a year ago. The shutout win over Davidson was the Huskies first win by shutout since beating George Mason on Feb. 10, 2013, 39-0. It's the first home shutout victory since Dec. 3, 2011 when Bloomsburg blanked Sacred Heart, 47-0.
 
In the victory over the Wildcats of Davidson posted two wins by major decision, one by sudden victory and one by forfeit. In Bloomsburg's win over Keystone the Huskies one major decision, four wins by technical fall, two wins by forfeit and one win by fall.
 
Bloomsburg, 2-0, will travel to Indiana next weekend for the Boilermaker Duals.
