PLEASANTVILLE, NY—The eighth-ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team fell to Pace University, 1-0 in overtime, on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

The Huskies controlled play in the opening half of action with five shots on goal to none for the Setters and held a 5-2 edge in penalty corners. In the second half the home school got its first two shots on goal in the eighth minute of play, but
Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) came up with two saves to keep the game scoreless.

Late in regulation the Huskies had two shots to score, but the first attempt by
Sam Peters (Harrisburg, Pa./Mifflin County) was stopped by the Pace goalie, while the second from the stick of
Tesa Hoffman (Freeburg, Pa./Selinsgrove) was wide left.

In overtime Pace got a penalty corner in the fourth minute of play and converted when Jane Kasparian deflected the shot of Paige Predmore for the gamewinner.

Bloomsburg goes to 1-1, while Pace is now 1-0. The Huskies host East Stroudsburg on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Steph Pettit Stadium.
