WHEELING, W. Va. - The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team suffered its first setback of the young 2016 season as it was blanked, 2-0, at Wheeling Jesuit University on Saturday afternoon. Both the Huskies and the Cardinals moved to 1-1 on the campaign.
After a scoreless first half that saw Wheeling Jesuit hold a 9-4 advantage in shots, the Cardinals scored both of their goals 78 seconds apart early in the second half - both off the foot of Jordan Frommeyer. The Cardinal forward scored his first goal off of a rebound at 54:52 and then knocked home his second of the game, and of the season, off of a centering feed from Brent Pedlow at 56:10.
Wheeling Jesuit goalkeeper Matt McCormack did the rest, preserving the shutout with three saves in the second half to improve to 1-1. He finished with five saves overall.

Jacob Pesarcik (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) fell to 1-1 on the year with nine saves in goal for the Huskies.
The Cardinals outshot Bloomsburg, 22-12, for the contest. Corner kicks, however, were even at six apiece.

Austin Transue (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) led all players with five shots. However, only one of those five shots was on goal. Junior
Brett Milden (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) had two shots - both of which were on target. Frommeyer led Wheeling Jesuit in both shots (4) and shots on goal (3).
Bloomsburg will look to get back into the win column on Wednesday, September 7 as it travels to Millersville University for its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup of the season. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
