BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University field hockey team will be holding Kid's Day on Saturday morning when the Huskies square off against Mercyhurst University at Steph Pettit Stadium. Start time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and is part of Bloomsburg's annual Homecoming festivities.

Kids can meet at Sully and Bubs Pavilion, located just inside Steph Pettit Stadium, to design signs to help cheer on the Huskies beginning at 10:30 a.m. After the conclusion of the contest, Bloomsburg coaches and players will sign autographs and interact with kids that attended the game.

Saturday's game will also be broadcasted live on WYOU 22 and on the Blue Ridge Cable Network, courtesy of the SPORTSfever Television Network. WYOU 22 and Blue Ridge Cable Network can be found on the following channels and in the following markets:

The Huskies (5-5, 1-2 PSAC) will enter Saturday's contest ranked ninth according to the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Coaches Poll released on Tuesday afternoon. Bloomsburg will be looking to snap a modest two-game losing streak as it has suffered a pair of one-goal losses to then-#2 (now-#1) Shippensburg and #2 East Stroudsburg this past Saturday and Tuesday respectively. Tuesday's loss to the Warriors was decided in overtime. Mercyhurst, meanwhile, will come in with an identical 5-5 overall record and 1-2 mark in conference action. The Lakers have won three of their last four, including a 2-0 win over Mansfield for their first conference win of the season.
