BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Bloomsburg University announced today that it has agreed to a five-year partnership with global apparel manufacturer Under Armour (NYSE: UA) for the brand to be the official outfitter of the Huskies' 21 NCAA varsity athletic programs. The Baltimore-based global leader in performance footwear, apparel, and equipment, Under Armour will become the official outfitter of Husky athletics effective January 1, 2018.  The agreement also formally outlines the athletic partnership with BSN Sports, Dallas, Texas.
 
"We have taken significant steps to grow the Bloomsburg University Husky brand and take pride in partnering with the industry leader Under Armour," Director of Athletics, Dr. Michael McFarland said.  "Our collaborative partnership with Under Armour, and fulfilled through BSN Sports, affiliates us with a successful and powerful leader in athletic apparel and in fulfillment through BSN.  Our student-athletes and staff will benefit from this partnership."
 
As part of a five-year agreement with options for renewal in subsequent years, Under Armour will provide on-field and training gear for Bloomsburg's 21 varsity sports.  Additionally, Under Armour will outfit members of the athletic department including coaches and staff.

Teams will begin the transition to Under Armour this coming year, with all expected to be compliant during the 2018-19 season.
