LAST WEEK
Hakeem Sillman (Philadelphia, Pa./Frankford), Qmac Quiteh (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West), and Alex Gooden (Parkesburg, Pa./Octorara) each hit the century mark in rushing yards on Saturday afternoon as Bloomsburg snapped a two-game losing skid with a 26-18 victory over visiting East Stroudsburg University in front of more than 3,400 fans at Danny Hale Field at Redman on Parents and Family Weekend. Quiteh led the Huskies with 123 yards on 14 carries but was followed closely by Sillman, who finished with 117 yards on 15 attempts, and Gooden, who carried the ball 17 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the first time that Bloomsburg had three players rush for at least 100 yards in a game since Jamar Brittingham (142), Mike Ceroli (109), and Julius Brown (101) accomplished the feat in a 37-12 victory at Kutztown on October 9, 2004. The Huskies ran for 355 yards on 60 attempts on Saturday afternoon - the most rushing yards in a game since rushing for 454 yards in a 41-10 victory over West Chester on October 25, 2014. The Huskies improved to 12-0 lifetime under head coach Paul Darragh when rushing for at least 300 yards in a game. The last time Bloomsburg ran for 300 yards was in last season's 38-28 win at East Stroudsburg on October 21, 2017. The Huskies are averaging 312.7 yards rushing against the Warriors in the last three meetings between the two schools - all Bloomsburg victories. East Stroudsburg led 10-0 at halftime before the Huskies rallied in the second half. The biggest play of the game came on the opening drive of the third quarter. Bloomsburg went nine yards on its first three plays setting up a fourth-and-one from its own 35-yard line. Kieron Smethers (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) came on to punt and, after receiving the snap, ran past the first-down marker for a four-yard gain to keep the drive alive. The led to Bloomsburg first points of the 26 it scored in the second half. Bloomsburg had a season-high 412 yards of offense with 355 of those coming on the ground. The Huskies attempted only nine passes all afternoon. Logan Leiby (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) finished 3-of-4 for 26 yards while Benjamin was just 1-of-5 for 31 yards but the one completion was the perfectly thrown 31-yard touchdown strike to Allen. East Stroudsburg finished with 296 yards of total offense - 159 rushing and 137 passing. Jaymar Anderson finished the day with 17 carries for 175 yards and one touchdown. Ben Moser finished 10-of-22 for 137 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. Rece Bender caught two passes for 55 yards. Defensively, Josh Salak (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) lead the Huskies with six tackles, one tackle for a loss, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup. Kasean Patterson (Philadelphia, Pa./Lankenau) and AJ Simon (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) had five stops apiece with Simon leading the team with 1.5 of the team's five sacks. Tyshaun Pollard (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) had his first two career interceptions and finished with four total tackles.

19th-ranked Kutztown used a big first half to secure a 41-0 win over Lock Haven at Kutztown's Andre Reed Stadium. Highlighting Lock Haven's offensive unit was sophomore running back Chantz Swartz, who rushed for 112 yards, which left him just shy of his career-high (120). Lock Haven quarterbacks Cameron Tobias and Ethan Persa threw for 104 and 90 yards, respectively. Nysir Minney-Gratz hauled in six catches, while Jalen Jackson and Bryan Greene finished with four and three receptions, respectively. Defensively, Alex Welch and Dontae Mason each finished with 13 tackles. Welch had 13 tackles, including six solo stops to go along with two tackles-for-loss, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. Mason had 13 tackles (6 solo) and Kahari Whitfield added a nine-tackle effort for Lock Haven. The Golden Bears scored all 41 points in the first half. Kutztown quarterback Collin DiGalbo threw for 203 yards and one touchdown, and he rushed for one score to spark an offensive attack that racked up four total rushing touchdowns on the day.

FIVE THINGS TO WATCH
- Saturday's game with Lock Haven is the 91st in the series between the two schools, dating back to the first meeting 110 years ago in 1908. Bloomsburg has an overall record of 47-40-3 versus the Bald Eagles, with a mark of 27-17-3 at home and 20-23 on the road. While Lock Haven has won two straight for the first time since three in a row from 1990 to 1992, the Huskies have still won 16 of the last 19 games in the series.

- The Huskies closed out the 2017 campaign with a 7-4 record - Bloomsburg's 19th consecutive winning season dating back to 1999. It is the third-longest streak in PSAC history, behind West Chester's 31 (1940-42, 1945-72) and Clarion's 22 (1964-85). The 19 straight seasons with at least six victories, however, continues a PSAC record. Bloomsburg has now posted a winning record in 23 of the last 24 years.

- Senior Chris Gary (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Wood) recorded the 25th sack of his collegiate career in last Saturday's 26-18 victory over East Stroudsburg. He is one shy of tying Larry Webster's school record of 26 he set from from 2012-13. Entering the season, Webster was seventh in conference history with his 26 sacks.

- Bloomsburg has scored at least one point in 180 consecutive games dating back to a 21-0 home loss against Shippensburg on September 13, 2003. The Huskies have rattled off 116 consecutive road games with at least a point dating back to a 30-0 loss at Millersville on October 10, 1998.

- The turnover battle could be crucial in Saturday's game. The Huskies are second in the conference, and 18th in the country, with a plus-7 turnover margin while the Bald Eagles enter the matchup ranked 12th in the PSAC, and 153rd in the nation, with a minus-8 turnover margin. Bloomsburg forced four East Stroudsburg turnovers - three in the second half - and was a plus-3 last week as it rallied for a 26-18 win. Bloomsburg is 40-18 lifetime under Paul Darragh when forcing at least one turnover.
