Ky Mauras (Reading, Pa./Reading) scored 22 points and freshman
Travis Elmore (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) added his third double-double of the season with 15 points and a career-high 14 rebounds as the Bloomsburg University men's basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 77-71 victory over visiting Lock Haven University on Wednesday night at the Nelson Field House. With the victory, the Huskies improved to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division while the Bald Eagles fell to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the PSAC East.
Elmore kept his streak alive as he now has scored in double figures in each of his first ten collegiate games with the Huskies. Meanwhile, his 14 rebounds surpassed his previous high of 13 he recorded in the victory over Felician back on November 28. Mauras reached the 20-point plateau for the fifth time this season with his team-leading 22-point effort which was aided by his perfect 6-of-6 night from the foul line including 4-of-4 in the closing minute of regulation.

Sekou Fofana (Upper Darby, Pa./Springfield Commonwealth) also reached double figures with 10 points and seven rebounds in just 17 minutes off the bench. Eight of his ten points came in the final 9:40 of regulation which included a pair of clutch of three-pointers that put Bloomsburg ahead 71-62 with 2:21 left. Fofana also pulled down a huge offensive rebound with 27 seconds left, with the Huskies leading by four, that led to a pair of Mauras foul shots six seconds later to essentially seal the victory.
The Huskies trailed, 34-31, at halftime before exploding for 46 second-half points as they outscored the Bald Eagles, 46-37, in the final stanza.
Bloomsburg held a slim 42-41 edge on the glass and committed only nine turnovers while dishing out 15 assists. The Huskies also hit 7-of-17 (41.2%) from beyond the arc - a huge improvement from the 41-of-184 (22.3%) performance through the first nine games of the year.
