Storyline
The Bloomsburg University field hockey celebrates its four graduating seniors on Saturday as the Huskies host Mercyhurst in both teams' final regular season game. The Huskies enter Saturday with a 6-11 overall record and a 3-6 slate in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). The Lakers are currently 3-14 for the year and 1-8 in the PSAC.

All-Time Series
The Huskies lead the all-time series over Mercyhurst 23-0. In the last 13 contests, Bloomsburg has outscored the Lakers 42-6 and have posted nine shutouts, including four-straight from 2009-2011. Last season, Bloomsburg defeated Mercyhurst 1-0 thanks to a goal from Willow Perkins (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) in the 24th minute of action.

Bloomsburg enters the contest with a 6-11 overall record looking to secure the last spot in the upcoming PSAC field hockey tournament. Following the game, the Huskies will honor their four graduating seniors – Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech), Rachael Strockbine (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), Willow Perkins (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia), and Tesa Hoffman (Freeburg, Pa./Selinsgrove Area). This season, the Huskies are seventh in the PSAC in scoring as they average 1.53 goals per game. Opponents are averaging 2.00 goals per game against Bloomsburg. Sophomore Foto Tsioles (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) continues to lead the Bloomsburg offense as she has eight goals and an assist this year for 17 points. Perkins is third on the team in scoring with three goals and a team-leading three assists. Junior Cheyenne Ott (Mount Bethel, Pa./Bangor) and freshman Carlee Williams (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) each have a pair of assists for Bloomsburg this year. Junior Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) is second in the PSAC with a 0.845 save percentage this year and has 60 saves for the season. Barnard has a 1.31 goals against average in 11 games played for Bloomsburg. Freshman Abby Shaffer (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) has a 2.45 GAA in 11 games as well with a 0.713 save percentage and 57 total saves.

Scouting MERCYHURST
Mercyhurst comes into Saturday's contest 3-14 on the year and 1-8 in the PSAC. The Lakers are currently on a six-game losing skid after dropping a pair of 2-1 contests to Frostburg State and IUP this past week. Mercyhurst is 10th in the league in scoring as the Lakers average .77 goals per game and allow 4.00 goals per game. Alexis Skibitsky leads the Lakers with six goals and an assist this season while eight players are tied with an assist. Clare Ahern is second on the team with three goals this year. Libby Jones has spent a majoring of time in cage for the Lakers and has a 3.98 GAA this season in 14 games played and started. Jones has a 3-10 overall record and has made 94 saves with a 0.648 save percentage.

Post-Season Watch
Bloomsburg currently sits tied for seventh in the PSAC, only one game out of the playoffs with one conference games left. Millersville is currently sixth with a 4-5 record while IUP and Bloomsburg are tied at 3-6. Bloomsburg holds the tie breaker over Millersville, while IUP holds the tie breaker over the Huskies. Millersville closes out their regular season with Seton Hill after losing to Mansfield on and the Crimson Hawks close out the conference schedule with Kutztown. A win for Bloomsburg on Saturday keeps the Huskies' playoff hopes alive.
