WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team fell to Niagara University 7-0 in its first match of the spring semester, Saturday. The Huskies fell to 2-2 on the year.

Guille Carranza (Sevilla, Spain/Colegio Calasancio Hispalense) and
Jorge Barra (Sintra, Portugal/Carlucci American International School of Lisbon) took a tough 6-2 loss at No. 3 doubles before
Nagid Walle (Willemstad, Curacao/Saint Andrews (Fla.)) and
Robin Luetzig (Hadamar, Germany/Furst Johann Ludwig Schule) evened the doubles matches with a 6-4 win.
Scott Redmond () and
Oliver Wiesemann (Jena, Germany/Colegio Alemán de Málaga (Spain)) dropped the No. 2 doubles match and Niagara took the doubles point for the match.

Redmond had a strong singles match at No. 3 but ultimately fell to Josh Wilson 6-4, 6-4. Barra had a tough battle at No. 5 after falling 6-4 in the first set, but dropping the second 6-1. Walle fell at No. 1 singles as well 6-3, 6-3.

The Huskies get back to action in two weeks when they travel to Hershey, Pa. to take on Le Moyne College on February 23 at 10:00 a.m.
