BECKLEY, W. Va. – The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team's season came to a close Saturday afternoon as the No. 3 seeded Huskies fell to No. 2 Concord Mountain Lions, 4-0, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies wrap their season with a 16-5-2 overall record while Concord continues in the NCAA tournament with a 19-0-3 record.

Bloomsburg had an early scoring opportunity as the Huskies earned a corner kick just three minutes into action. Graduate student
Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) put the ball in the box and senior
Paige Harris (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) got her head on it but her header went right to the Concord goalie, Morgan Carmichael, and the Huskies were kept off of the board.

The Mountain Lions broke the scoreless tie just about 10 minutes later as Rachel Bell put the ball just out of reach of sophomore goalie

With less than 20 minutes to play in the half, sophomore
Lauren Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) ripped a shot that went just wide and three minutes later junior
Abby Groff (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) looked for the equalizer but her shot was off target as well. With 13 minutes to play before the break, Yasmin Mosby pushed the Concord lead to 2-0 before her second goal of the game with just over five to play in the period gave the Mountain Lions a 3-0 lead.

Leah Foster extended the Mountain Lions lead to 4-0 in the 54
th minute and Concord kept the Huskies off balance for the remainder of the half. Bloomsburg had a corner kick with 30 seconds left in regulation but was cleared away without consequence and the Mountain Lions come away with the 4-0 win.

Concord out-shot the Huskies 19-7 for the game, including 10-1 advantage in the second half. Ryan finished the day with a season-best nine saves for the game. She ends her season with 1 16-5-2 record with a program-best 14 shutouts and a 0.55 goals against average.

The Huskies finish the year 16-5-2. The Huskies reached their third-straight NCAA Tournament after winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship last week. Bloomsburg drew the No. 3 seed in the tournament and headed to Beckley, W. Va.

After defeating Mercyhurst in the opening round game of the NCAA Tournament, the Huskies had to face the No. 2 seed Concord, a team that featured the second leading scorer in the NCAA DII this season.
