BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team settled for a 0-0 draw with #22 West Chester University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action, Wednesday night. With the draw, the Huskies move to 11-4-2 on the year and 10-3-2 in PSAC East play, while the Golden Rams are now 11-2-2 for the year and in conference action.

Both Bloomsburg and West Chester have clinched a spot in the PSAC tournament, but Saturday's contests will determine the final seeding after Wednesday's draw. Each team could finish as high as second or third and face each other in the first round next Tuesday.

The Huskies had a chance right after the opening whistle, but the WCU goalie, Hayley McGee, stepped out and intercepted freshman
Gina Sexton's (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) cross as the goal line.

The two teams were pretty evenly matched throughout the contest. The Golden Rams led 5-4 in shots in the first half, but the Huskies put three shots on goal to West Chester's one. Freshman
Brooke Foster (Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) put a final shot on net in the 40
th minute, but McGee made the save to keep the shutout intact.

Kaitlynn Haughey got the only shot on goal off for the Golden Rams in the second half, but sophomore
Alexa Ryan (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) was right there to make the stop. Senior
Helen Flynn (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) ripped a shot on net in the 70
th minute, but McGee got her hand on the ball as it was going toward the top of the net and turned away the scoring attempt.

The Bloomsburg defense turned away the final two shot attempted from West Chester in the 82
nd and 83
rd minute to send the game into over.

Bloomsburg took the only shot of the overtime periods, as sophomore
Lauren Bull's (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) attempt was blocked in the 99
th minute.

The Golden Rams held a slight 9-7 advantage in shots for the game though Bloomsburg led 4-2 in shots on goal. Ryan made two saves for her shutout while McGee needed four.

Bull led BU with three shots while Sexton had a pair as well.

The Huskies return to action on Saturday when they face Millersville University in the regular-season finale for both teams. The game will help determine the final seeding for the 2021 PSAC Women's Soccer Tournament. Kick-off is set for 4:30 pm.
