SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Shippensburg University, Friday night. With the loss, the Huskies dropped to 11-14 for the season and 5-6 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action while the Raiders improved to 12-14 for the season and 5-6 in conference play.

The Huskies fell by set scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-18.
Bloomsburg had its best hitting day set of the evening in the first as they hit .323 behind 11 kills and just one hitting error in 31 attempts. Seniors
Mia Nicholes (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and
Grace Giza (Plymouth, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) led the Huskies with three kills each while senior
Sydney Buell (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) had two.

For the match, Giza and Nicholes led BU with five kills each while Buell finished with four. Nicholes added five blocks to her stat line while Giza posted four. Graduate student
Alyssa Cianciulli (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) collected 14 digs while sophomore
Aydan Espinal (Rock Hill, S.C./Rock Hill) handed out 15 assists for the Huskies.

The Huskies are in the hunt for the final spot in the PSAC Tournament as they take on Shepherd today at 4:00 pm.
