The Rams shot 45.9% from the floor (28-for-61) for the game and were 4-of-10 from beyond the arc. Shepherd was nearly perfect at the free-throw line as the Rams went 16-for-18, including Abby Beeman's 10-for-10 day at the charity stripe.
Â
Beeman led the Rams with 32 points, while Sydney Clayton posted 25 and had 12 rebounds. Beeman also dished out 10 assists for Shepherd.
Â
The Huskies jumped out to an early 4-0 lead thanks to a jumper from Corridoni and an offensive rebound and put back for freshman
Katelin Starr (Berwick, PA/Berwick). The Rams tied the game at 4-4 with 6:31 to play before a free throw from Corridoni made it a 5-4 game. Beeman and Gochnauer traded buckets before Clayton gave the Rams the lead for good with 1:38 to play as she finished off a fast-break layup for the 10-8 lead. At the end of the quarter, Saxton made a layup to make it a 12-10 game at the first break, but that would be as close as the Huskies would come to the Rams.
