BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team clinched a spot in the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tennis Tournament with 7-0 win over East Stroudsburg University, Wednesday afternoon.

Alese Rinker (/) and
Alyssa Kapcsos (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) opened the match with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Juliana Kim (Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Memorial High School) and
Brooke Henry (Saint Mary's, PA/Saint Mary's Area) clinched the doubles point with a 6-0 win at No. 3.
Isabella Sarquis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Metodo) and
Alyssa Mazurek (McAdoo, PA/Hazleton Area) close out the doubles sweep with a 6-0 win at No. 1.

Kapcsos picked up her second win of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles to give the Huskies a 2-0 match lead.
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) extended BU's lead to 3-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles and Mazurek clinched the match win with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles.

Rinker earned her second win of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles and Sarquis picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles.
Rea Hagishima (Tokyo, Japan/Meguro Nihon University High School) closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
The Huskies return to action on Thursday as they travel to the University of the Sciences for a non-conference match up. Bloomsburg closes out conference play on Saturday as they host Shippensburg at 12:00 pm.
