BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's basketball team fell at home in a 75-31 contest to No. 9 Gannon Friday evening.

How It Happened:
The game got off to a sluggish start in the early portions, with the first bucket coming around the eight minute mark as Gannon's Samantha Pirosko knocked down a three. Starr responded to the Golden Knights' first basket with a two before grabbing the lead with a three pointer of her own to give Bloomsburg a 5-3 lead.
Gannon opened up their offense at the midway point in the opening quarter with a 7-0 run to take a 12-7 lead. The Golden Knights would not trail for the remainder of Friday's matchup.
Allison Hileman (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) and
Ava Stevenson (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) knocked down jumpers as the Huskies trailed 18-10 after the first 10 minutes.
Bloomsburg continued to fall behind with a dominant second-quarter effort from the visitors, finishing with a 24-9 edge in the second and entering the half with a 23-point lead. LaFrance was the top scorer among the Huskies in the second with five points, including a three.
Several freshmen got extensive minutes on the court in the latter stages of the game, including
Emma Spindler (Wallkill, N.Y./Wallkill Senior) and
Mia Stock (Richboro, Pa./The Perkiomen School) securing two points each in the fourth quarter.
Ella Kale (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) continues to provide a strong defensive presence along the perimeter for Bloomsburg, recording multiple steals for the third time this season while also blocking her first shot on the year. The junior guard also finished the game with a team-high eight rebounds. Bloomsburg matched a season best with four total blocks from four different players.
