JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Bloomsburg men's basketball team came up short against Pitt-Johnstown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on Monday night, 91-60.

Jake Nelson (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Rustin) scored the opening basket for Bloomsburg (2-7, 0-3 PSAC), though Pitt-Johnstown (3-6, 1-2) pulled ahead with an early lead.

The Huskies found themselves down by 18 just over halfway through the frame before a jumper from
Raphael Castillo (Newark, N.J./Morristown Beard) ignited a 22-9 run for the maroon and gold. A buzzer-beating layup from Ryan Smith gave the Mountain Cats a nine-point advantage heading into halftime.

The Huskies shot 14-for-30 from the floor, as Castillo drained four of his five attempts in the opening half.

UPJ continued pressure in the second half, holding the Huskies to a 37.5 shooting percentage (12-for-32). Pitt-Johnstown shot 18-for-39 in the half.

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference, as the Mountain Cats nailed 9-of-23 from beyond the arc.

Nelson finished one rebound shy of a double-double, posting the team-lead in points (13) and rebounds (9).

DJ Gordon (Pittsburgh, Pa./First Love Christian Academy) recorded six points, six assists and two blocks in the contest.

Jagger Dressler (Danville, Pa./Danville) led in scoring off the bench, going perfect from the floor for seven points.
