Women's Tennis Set To Begin 2023 Spring Season This Saturday

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – This Saturday, head coach Rebecca Helt and the women's tennis will start their 2023 spring season with an away match at Saint Francis University.
 
The match will be the first of 14 different events for the women's tennis team this spring. Additionally, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships will take place from Thursday, April 20 through Sunday, April 23 at Bloomsburg's Burt Reese Tennis Center located on the school's upper campus.
 
Following the team's first match of the year on Saturday, the Huskies will have a week off until traveling to Williamsport for their next match of the season against Salem University on Saturday, February 14. The team travels to Chestnut Hill the following weekend on March 4, then Bloomsburg has a bit of a homestretch.
 
Bloomsburg's homestretch starts on Saturday, March 11 with a home event against Jefferson. The match will be the first of five straight home matches for the Huskies at the Burt Reese Tennis Center. Bloomsburg's next four matches will be against Fairmont State (March 22), Millersville (March 25), West Virginia Wesleyan (March 27), and Kutztown (April 1).
 
Following the homestretch, the Huskies hit the road for five of their final six games of the year. Bloomsburg starts its final stretch of the year with a match against Lock Haven on April 4. The Huskies then play Frostburg State (April 7) and Shepherd (April 8) on the road before returning to the Burt Reese Tennis Center for their final regular season home match against West Chester on Wednesday, April 12. The squad then closes out the regular season at Shippensburg on April 15 and at East Stroudsburg on April 18.
 
Bloomsburg's final event of the year is the PSAC Championships, which will occur from Thursday, April 20 until Sunday, April 23 at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
