MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The third-seeded Bloomsburg Huskies tennis team pushed No. 2 Millersville to the final match but fell to the Marauders 4-3 in the first round of the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Tennis Championship tournament.

Alese Rinker (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) and
Alyssa Mazurek (McAdoo, PA/Hazleton Area) opened the match with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles but Chloe Abramowitz and Sophie Lanius tied the doubles matches with a 6-2 win at No. 2. Millersville closed out the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

Sarah Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) tied the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles before the Marauders came back for a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles to take a 2-1 lead.
Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) battled Noelle Htwar at No. 1 singles and tied the match for the Huskies with a 6-2, 6-4 win. Mazurek gave Bloomsburg its first lead of the day with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.

Millersville came back and tied the match 3-3 with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles before clinching the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2.

The Huskies end their season at 5-11 while Millersville heads into the semifinals with a record of 9-9.
