BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – A balanced attack led the Bloomsburg women's lacrosse team to an 18-11 win over Shippensburg University, Wednesday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 5-6 on the year and 2-4 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action while the Raiders dropped to 1-10 and 0-6 in conference play.

Ten different players found the back of the net for the Huskies while five had a multi-goal game against the Raiders.
Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) led the charge for BU with three goals and an assist while
Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) and
Julia Cote (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) had three goals.
Kelsey Clauss (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) scored twice and handed out a helper while
Maya Fulmer (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had a pair of goals.
Haley Williams (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and
Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) had a goal and two assists while
Annie Rollins (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) and
Reiley Knize (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) each scored and had an assist.
Mia Boccippio (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) scored her first goal of the year for the Huskies.

Defensively, Stoll had three caused turnovers and two ground balls while Roberts caused a pair of turnovers and picked up a GB.

Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) earned the win with 12 saves, including three saves on free position shots.

Coyle led the Huskies with six draw controls and Fulmer had five and Stoll had four.

The Raiders got on the board first just 33 seconds into the game but Roberts and Clauss went back-to-back to grab the lead for the Huskies with 8:11 to play in the first. Shippensburg tied it at 2-2 at the 6:35 mark before the Huskies closed out the quarter with four-straight to take the lead for good, 6-2, at the end of the first.

Shippensburg answered with three-straight strikes to open the second but Coyle kicked off a four-goal run for the Huskies to push their lead to 10-5 with 1:37 to play in the half. Abby Seasock scored as time expired for Shippensburg to cut the deficit to 10-6 at the break.

Coyle started the third with a goal thanks to an assist from Roberts but the Raiders scored two in a row to cut into the Bloomsburg advantage, 11-8, with 8:33 to play. Fulmer and Stoll answered with back-to-back goals to extend the lead to 13-8 before Sara Vosburg sandwiched a pair of goals around Roberts' third of the game to give Bloomsburg a 14-9 lead with 2:16 to play. Cote closed out the scoring in the third quarter with her third of the game with 42 seconds to play in the period.

Coyle opened the fourth with her third of the day and Boccippio and Fulmer closed out the scoring with two-straight for the Huskies' 18-11 win.

Vosburg led all players with five goals while Kayla Vosburg made 10 saves in the loss for Shippensburg.
The Huskies return to action on Saturday when they begin the second-half of PSAC play against Shepherd. Bloomsburg hosts the Rams at Steph Pettit Stadium for a 2:00 p.m. contest.
