BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The eighth-ranked Bloomsburg field hockey team tied its program record for goals in a game with a 14-0 win over Roberts Wesleyan Wednesday afternoon. The Huskies improved to 5-0 on the year, while the Redhawks dropped to 0-4. The Huskies had 10 different goal scorers, and 12 players found their way onto the scoresheet.

Bloomsburg tied its program record for goals scored with 14. The record was set in 1996 against Philadelphia Textile. The Huskies collected eight assists on their 14 goals this afternoon.

Junior
Aydan McFarland (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) got the scoring going quickly for the Huskies with a goal 1:25 into action. After
Emily Swineford (Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) pushed the Huskies' lead to 2-0 two minutes later, McFarland found the back of the cage twice more in the quarter before
Elena Snodgrass (Lansdale, Pa./Methacton) gave Bloomsburg a 5-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Jordan Bond (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) and
Kate Ferguson (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) each scored their first career goals in the second, with Ferguson's assisted by
Sophie Lawler (Newport, Pa./Newport), to push the Huskies' lead to 7-0 at the end of the first half.

Jessica Serafin (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) got an assist from
Alyxandra Flick (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) just under five minutes into the third quarter, while Lawler scored one of her own to give Bloomsburg a 9-0 lead with just over 20 minutes to play in regulation. McFarland scored her fourth goal of the game 39 seconds into the fourth quarter to push the lead to 10-0. The hat trick and then some were the first of McFarland's career and is a career-high in goals scored in a game for the junior.

Genna Bush (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) and Serafin scored back-to-back goals on assists from Flick before
Morgan Magditch (Kintersville, Pa./Palisades) and
Georgia Tsioles (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) finished off the score for the Huskies for the 14-0 win.

Jackie Nevel (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick Area) started in goal for the Huskies, and
Maura Greek (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) finished the day in the cage. The Bloomsburg defense did not allow a shot or a shot on goal in the contest.
