WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg wrestling team picked up four wins at the 2024 Black Knight Invitational, Sunday afternoon.

Junior
William Morrow (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) led the way for the Huskies at 157 pounds. Morrow dropped his first match of the day, 4-2, in a tight decision to Jack Conley of Michigan State. After receiving a bye in the first round of the consolation bracket, Morrow picked up a 4-1 decision over Tyler Barrett of Columbia to advance in the bracket. Morrow kept his day alive with a 12-3 major decision over Jack Valentin of LIU. Jordan Brown of Binghamton held a slight 3-2 lead over Morrow to the start of the third period. Brown earned an escape and quick takedown early in the final round to take a 7-2 lead. Â Morrow got an escape to cut the lead to 7-3 with just over a minute to go in regulation. With 28 seconds to go, Morrow got a takedown to cut the lead to 7-6 but gave up the quick escape to try and score more points as Brown pushed his lead to 8-6. Brown held out in the final 20 seconds for the win and got the riding time point for the 9-6 decision.

David Tuttle (Steubenville, Ohio/Steubenville) went 1-2 on the day for the Huskies at 184 pounds. After a fall in the first round to Lucas Daly of Michigan State, Tuttle rebounded for a hard-fought 5-1 decision over Eidson Flores of Gardner Webb to keep his day alive. Tuttle fell to Andrew Christie of Army, 17-0, in his final match.

Mason Rebuck (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) got a win in the consolation bracket to go 1-2 on the day in the 197 pound bracket. After a fall in the first round to Lucas Cochran of Penn State, Rebuck earned an 8-0 major decision over Ike Schmidt of Columbia to move on in the consolation bracket. Josh McCutchen of Gardner-Webb earned a 13-0 major decision over Rebuck in the second round of the consolation bracket to end Rebuck's day.

The Huskies will get back on the mat when they travel to Lock Haven on December 1 for the Mat Town Open following Thanksgiving break.
