EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball team was shutout by No. 13 East Stroudsburg in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) doubleheader with the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

Game One – East Stroudsburg 7, Bloomsburg 0 Â

A two-out triple from East Stroudsburg (32-6, 20-2 PSAC East) in the bottom of the first placed Cameron Hubbard on third. Jack Rothenhausler brought Hubbard home on an RBI-single to second base for the games' first run.

ESU extended its lead over Bloomsburg (12-26, 8-18) in the second with a two-RBI double from Shanley Wall. An RBI-groundout from Chaise Albus in the second allowed Parker Frey to record the Warriors' fourth run.

The Huskies broke the no-hitter in the fifth as
Jonathan LaBarbera (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) single to the shortstop.
Eli Riley (Harrisburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) singled to the shortstop int eh fifth as well, but both runners were left stranded on the bases.

ESU notched a two-RBI home run to left field in the sixth before an RBI-single brought the Warriors to the eventual final score of 7-0.

Nate Baranski (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) was tacked with the loss, giving up five earned runs and 11 hits while striking out four.

Game two – East Stroudsburg 1, Bloomsburg 0 Â

Game two proved to be a short contest as the Huskies and the Warriors combined for just one run and seven hits.

Bloomsburg did not allow East Stroudsburg past first base through the first four innings, holding the Warriors to just two hits.

A walk and a double in the bottom of the fifth eventually moved ESU into scoring position, where Tim Haverstick was brought home on a sacrifice-fly. That proved to be the winning run as East Stroudsburg took game two 1-0.

Will Dean (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) went the distance in the loss, allowing just three hits and one run with three strikeouts.

Wyatt Metzger (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) and LaBarbera each posted two hits on the day.

The Huskies host East Stroudsburg on Sunday, April 21 as the complete the season-series at 1 p.m. at Danny Litwhiler Field.
