BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg lacrosse team sent their seniors out in style with an 11-10 double overtime win over Shippensburg on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Trailing 6-4 at halftime, the Huskies came out firing in the third quarter. Marykate Sitko (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) pulled the Huskies within one, 6-5, with her second of the game at the 7:28 mark. Graduate student Kate Roberts (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) knotted the game at 6-6 with 4:05 to play in the quarter thanks to an assist from Katie Fluck (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township). Tori Bruno (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and Madison Coyle (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) scored within 27 of each other to give the Huskies a 8-6 lead with 1:57 to play in the third. Amanda Stoll (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) capped the five-goal third with her first of the game for the 9-6 Bloomsburg lead.

The Raiders cut into the lead 2:38 into the fourth to pull within two, 9-7, but Sitko found the back of the net for the third time to push the lead back to three, 10-7. The Raiders scored three unanswered goals to tie the game 10-10 with 2:26 to play in regulation. Shippensburg had a chance at the game-winner with 1:11 to play in regulation, but Lauren Foley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) made the save to keep the game tied.

Shippensburg had the first shot of the first overtime period at the 3:53 mark but Foley kept the Raiders off the board. Coyle's shot as time expired in the first 3:00 minutes of overtime went wide, and the two teams went back to the draw. Bloomsburg won the draw control and Coyle's shot was saved by Kayla Vosburg.

With nine seconds to go in the first overtime period, Stoll drew a foul and was awarded a free position shot. Her attempt was stopped by Vosburg and the game went into a second overtime.

Shippensburg won the draw to start the second overtime, but immediately turned the ball over and Bloomsburg took over. After a successful clear by the Huskies, Roberts got the ball to Fluck and the senior buried her shot in the upper third to give Bloomsburg an 11-10 win with 4:52 to play in the period.

The Raiders and Huskies traded the first four goals of the game for a 2-2 tie after the first quarter. Sitko and Maya Fulmer (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) were responsible for Bloomsburg's two goals. Shippensburg pulled away with a two-goal lead in the second, 4-2, with 9:17 to go before halftime. Mia Bocccippio found the back of the net for the second time this season with 7:05 to play to halt the Raiders' run but Shippensburg answered with two more to take a 6-3 lead with 3:27 to go.
